P.S, I’m not always this serious! Let’s get to the good bits!

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Times
Our standard drop-off and pick-up times are for boarding and day care:
8:00am
OR
5:30pm
We are flexible with departure timings after 5:30 with boarding if paid day rate. But this must be planned in advance
We understand delays can happen, e.g trafficHowever If you’re running late, please let me know as soon as possible, whether that’s due to traffic or something else, and let me know your expected arrival time. Please don’t assume that a later pick-up will be okay and I can wait around for you to arrive as this isn’t the case— I’ll confirm whether I’m able to accommodate the change and let you know what we need to do. However if the space is taken, we can not hold your pup for you and emergency contact will be contacted to collect. Please be aware to help accommodate it may be another person such as Seb my Partner or my Grooming partner Lucy who may be there instead. If I am able to accommodate, Please also note that a charge may be added for late pick-ups or drop-offs, particularly where the delay affects the rest of my day or means I need to make additional arrangements such as providing the space for your pup.I’ll always try to be as accommodating as I can, but I also need my time to be respected and my day to run to the structure I’ve put in place. For e.g If you cannot make 8 am pick up, please pick the later pick up.We do not offer 1 night stays.❗️All boarding bookings have a minimum stay of 3 days/nights.For example, if you have an early flight and cannot drop your dog off at 8:00am, your dog will need to arrive at 5:30pm the evening before, where space is available.
An additional evening fee of £30 (day care rate) will apply.
Please plan ahead if you require this option, as availability cannot be guaranteed.
Weekday Timings
We cannot accommodate drop-offs or pick-ups between:
8:00am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday

Timings

Out-of-Timing Requests
In an emergency, or where we are able to accommodate your request, we may allow a drop-off or pick-up outside of our standard timings.
An additional £10 charge will apply on top of the usual day charge.
This is because our day-to-day routines are carefully planned, and changes to drop-off or pick-up times can affect the running of the business and the care we provide to the dogs.

Weekend Bookings
For bookings of less than 7 days that include Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday, an additional:
£10 weekend charge will apply on top of the standard day price.
E.g Thursday £45
Friday, saturday, Sunday £55 each.

Bookings of 7 days or more will not be charged the weekend fee.
Why do you do this?
We’re more than happy to welcome your pups for shorter stays of less than 7 days — however, there is an additional fee for these bookings especially over weekends.
The reason is simply that shorter bookings can sometimes create gaps in our availability that mean we have to turn away dogs who need longer stays. As a small home boarding business, every space matters, and when we have a few shorter bookings sitting in between longer stays, those gaps can quickly add up and mean we’re unable to offer a place to another dog who may need us for a week or more.We don’t want to stop offering shorter stays because we know they can be really useful for some of you. So instead, the additional fee helps cover some of the booking time we can lose when we’re unable to fill those spaces. We really appreciate your understanding and continued support of our little doggy home. 🐾Short stays are absolutely welcome when available — we just ask that you keep the additional fee in mind when booking. ❤️We cannot provide pick up or drop off on Saturdays all day or Sunday day time. Friday and Sunday afternoons only.Weekend Day Care
Weekend day care is subject to an additional:
£5 weekend charge
Puppies
Puppies are subject to an additional:
£10 per day
This is added on top of the standard daily rate.
Medication
Medication that needs to be given outside of our normal morning and evening feeding times will incur an additional:
£2 medication charge
For example:
“My puppy needs a tablet exactly at 12pm.”
or
“My dog needs medication at this exact time.”

Medication given alongside breakfast or dinner timings will not incur the additional charge, provided it does not require a strict or specific administration time.

What is boarding, how does it compare to kennels?

Home Boarding - limited spaces for a more personal touch! Our home boarding service is all about giving your pup a home-from-home experience while you’re away. What does that mean?It means your dog can truly make themselves at home and enjoy their holiday with us just as they would at home — whether that means curling up on the sofa, snuggling up in bed, or enjoying a cuddle on my lap! There’s no pressure or expectation for them to be anything other than happy, comfortable and themselves while they’re in our care. Our Garden & Daily ActivitiesWe have a large secure garden which the dogs can access throughout the day. They can run around and play with their friends, explore, enjoy the sunshine, or simply find a comfy spot and relax and always have a place to go to the toilet throughout the day. .We also provide walks, enrichment, toys and plenty of fun activities, so there’s always something to keep them entertained but most of all there's company and plenty of cuddles. And yes — we get out and enjoy our adventures whatever the weather! Will My Dog Ever Be Left Alonewe usually arrange it that If I’m not at home, there will usually be someone else around such as Seb my life long Partner who also is part of the team or my grooming Partner Lucy with sometimes added friends or family. However, there may occasionally be short periods during your dog’s stay where they are left alone due to personal commitments or appointments just like you would at home. These periods can range from approximately 10 minutes to a maximum of 3 hours.Because of this, unfortunately we cannot accommodate dogs with severe separation anxiety or dogs who are unable to be left alone for short periods. We do have a family pup Maple who can be around during these times and can provide some company and comfort, where appropriate. If your dog struggles with being alone, please let us know before booking so we can discuss whether our home boarding environment would be suitable for them.Boarding RequirementsFor the safety and happiness of all dogs staying with us, your dog must:• Be comfortable sharing their space with other dogs.
• Be happy in a home environment with up to 6 dogs at a time.
• Be fully vaccinated and up to date with vaccinations.
• Be up to date with flea and worming treatments.
• Neutered (except from puppies however this will be in a require requirement when they get older)
Our priority is to create a relaxed, friendly and safe environment where every dog can enjoy their own little holiday while you’re away.

Sounds great - how do we proceed?

If you and your pup are happy with the above, we request and need a trial night. Please send me a message on WhatsApp, I will ask you further questions! Also to make it a quick easy process, on the first page please fill out Booking form and please send over a copy of vaccinationsPlease be aware that messages on my end may sometimes be delayed. 🐾During the day, I try to prioritise the families of the dogs currently in my care, making sure they receive updates and that their dogs’ needs come first. I then get back to new enquiries and messages whenever I can. Thank you for choosing me to look after your pup! There are also times when I simply can’t be on my phone — I may be out walking dogs who need my full attention, grooming, cleaning, sorting things behind the scenes, dealing with the day-to-day running, or even just having a day where I’m not feeling well or busy with personal plans, who knows!
I work completely alone in this area as I like to make sure you’re speaking to me and getting to know the sole person looking after your animals. If I’m not available there isn’t anyone else to pick up messages when I’m busy or unavailable.
Please be reassured that I am always doing my best to get back to you — I’m never intentionally ignoring anyone! From experience I can be speaking to a minimum of 12 people a day, alongside caring for the dogs, so occasionally messages can get missed or lost amongst everything else.If you feel like you’ve been waiting a little longer than expected, please feel free to send me a little bump message. I genuinely don’t mind, and it can help bring your message back to my attention.Although I work all year round, i also try to find a healthy balance between my personal life and animal business life.My goal is I aim to reply to messages during weekdays where possible, while weekends are a time when I try to prioritise my family and have some proper time away from my work phone.I may still be accessible at weekends and you may sometimes see me online, but I would really appreciate your understanding that being self-employed and working all year round doesn’t mean I can be available at all times. I’m doing my best to give my work, the dogs and their families the time and attention they deserve, while also making sure I have some time for myself and my family.Thank you so much for your patience, understanding and continued suppoort — it really is appreciated. What is a Trial stay?
This is a short over night stay from around 6pm - 8 am the next following day. Only held on week days and must be a day where you are not away and available incase of any emergencies.
Why? & What do these show us?
Pups can be nervous in a new environment, before a big holiday it’s best to help them adapt before going away and from experience of a few years and feedback from past owners, this is what helps them excited to come back through our doors! It helps you and your pup get a taster of what we offer for a short period if time knowing they will always go back home.
Whilst they are with us, we look to see how your pup feels in our home and our care. If we believe they aren’t the best fit, we do it for their best interest and will let you know with honesty. We do understand and take into consideration that they may act different on their first time with us, so don’t panic, we will always suggest if we need to book another in before the big bookings. Over all, Trial nights are done to make sure all parties are happy and that the trust is there.Trial night price £30

We appreciate your understanding and thank you for respecting our cancellation policy.
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before making your booking. These terms are in place to ensure that our business can operate safely, fairly and smoothly for all dogs and owners.

What should you provide for their stay?

  • Food bowl if special requirements such as slow feeder etc

  • UPATED VACCINES, EMERGENCY CONTACT

  • UPDATE ME ON ALLERGIES AND HEALTH

  • Leads, harnesses, collar (is a must with tag) - We recommend harnesses due to us doing our protocol of all dogs on long lines for first few walks. we do not automatically let dogs off lead. Harness is more safe to attach too than a collar.

  • Bed if it helps with comfort and they use often, if not I have lots of options!

  • Crate - I have a spare but this could be occupied, please ask,

  • Measured food, or food supplied with measurer NEED INFO ON EXACT PORTION TO AVOID UNDER/OVER FEEDING

  • Treats/chews

Sleeping arrangementWhen it comes to sleeping and downtime, we like to keep things as cozy and familiar as
possible for your pup.
During the day and night many of our dogs sleep or hang out right
in the room with us — it helps them feel safe and part of the family. However, we also
understand that some owners prefer their dogs to have their own designated room or
space, and we’re happy to support that too this also includes crates. Our biggest goal is
to make sure every dog feels comfortable and secure. We just ask that owners are honest
about what their pups are used to, so we can avoid any stress, crying, or barking.
We
want your dog to be happy and relaxed — and we also need to keep things peaceful for
our neighbours to protect the future of our business.
Mixing with other dogsStaying with us means your dogs to have to be comfortable being in other dogs company. No
aggressive dogs
are allowed, meaning dogs with a bite history will not be accepted.
Recourse guarding such as with treats, food, balls can be controlled and we do accept
dogs with this behaviour as it can be common as we understand dogs need to
communicate, all we ask is for owners to be honest so we can be aware to help prevent
any possible future altercations. Our main goal is to keep everyone safe.
WalksWhen it comes to walks, we like to mix things up to keep the dogs happy and active! We
enjoy heading out to secure fields and going on little adventures, as well as taking relaxed
local walks when that’s what suits best.
We always work around other arrangements that
Davies Pet Care may have and cant promise dogs will get the exact routine that they
would at home, but we can promise a tired dog coming home after the thrill of the
boarding life and fun! If a dog has medical issues, is elderly, or just isn’t up for walks —
that’s totally fine too! Walks are never compulsory; we just want every dog to feel
comfortable, safe, and content while they’re with us. Please talk to us about your pups
walking/ enrichment needs and how they are on walks, this includes any reactivity and
strength of recall so we are aware if we need to use equipment to ensure safety e.g long
lines. We do have a large secure garden space for dogs to play and go toilet during the day.
Off-Lead Walks & SafetyYour dog’s safety is always my number one priority, which is why every dog staying with me will have an off-lead “tester” period before I decide whether they are ready to be trusted off lead.I completely understand that you may trust your dog 100% off lead and know that they have fantastic recall with you. ❤️ However, dogs can behave differently when they are with someone new, in a different environment or around a different group of dogs.Because of this, I need to take my own precautions and make sure I’m confident that your dog is safe and reliable with me before giving them the freedom to be completely off lead. The tester period can take up to 3 walks, and every dog is different. I’ll use whatever I feel is most appropriate for them, which could include:🐶 A retractable lead
🐾 A shorter long line
🐾 A longer long line
🐾 Being attached directly to me
Long lines where appropriate, may mean dragging behind them on the ground
Usually, your dog will be attached to me on their first walk while I get to know them and see how they behave in different situations.Sometimes, once I feel they are ready for more freedom, I may allow them to have a long line dragging behind them rather than holding it. This gives them more freedom to explore while still providing an extra safety measure. If I need to, I can quickly pick up the line and regain control. These precautions are primarily there to help prevent your dog from putting themselves at risk, running into danger or injuring themselves. It also allows me to safely manage situations if something unexpected happens.I’ll gauge their suitability based on things such as:🐾 How engaged they are with me
🐾 Their recall and responsiveness
🐾 How they interact with the other dogs
🐾 How they respond to distractions
🐾 How they react to other people, dogs and situations around them
🐾 Their overall confidence and behaviour in the outside world
Some dogs may be ready quite quickly, while others may need a little longer — and that’s absolutely fine. ❤️🐕 HARNESS RECOMMENDATIONI strongly recommend that all dogs coming to stay with me have a well-fitting harness available.Even if your dog is normally walked on a collar, there may be occasions where I feel a harness is more appropriate, particularly if they need to use a long line during their tester walks.Having a harness available means I can choose the safest option for your individual dog without putting unnecessary pressure on their neck. The aim is never to rush the process. I want to make sure that when your dog is given the freedom to be off lead, I genuinely feel that I can trust them to stay safe and respond to me.So even if your dog is normally fantastic off lead with you, please understand that they may need to earn that same freedom with me. This isn’t because I don’t trust your dog — it’s because I need to build that trust and understand how they respond to me first.Their freedom is earned through their behaviour, engagement and reliability — and their safety will always come first.

Will I update you during their stay?

Of course! We love nothing more than photographing your pups memories, capturing the
special moments of having fun with friends and sending them your way! We try to update
daily the best we can about how they are and what they’ve been up too, we can be busy, so feel free to contact If
you are missing them and want an up date! We always say, we are like the doctors..
sometimes no update means theres nothing to update because all is positive - they are simply having the best holidays!
We do offer photoshoots for just £30
Main goal is to capture them in their happy moments.
What happens in an emergency? We do everything possible to keep all dogs and everyone on the premises safe and
secure at all times. In the unlikely event of an emergency — such as a dog escaping or
becoming injured — we will contact you immediately and keep you fully informed. While
we follow strict safety procedures and routines, we understand that unexpected situations
can sometimes happen. Please know that you’ll always receive 100% honesty and
transparency from us, and we’ll make sure you’re updated with any important information
